I’ve been in Zürich for a few days now, and there are few cities that measure up to the beauty that is Zürich! It is summer, the sun (was) shining (now it is pouring down), people (were) swimming in the lake with the snow clad alps in the background. It is as if it was taken straight out of a fairytale.
This Panorama picture was taken during a particularly cloudy day, but you can still see the beautiful mountains in the background of lake Zürich. Isn’t it beautiful?
But the view of this gorgeous country isn’t the only thing that’s enticing. The have some of the worlds best pastries as well! One of my personal favorites is the hidden gem Café Péclard located in the streets of “old Zürich”. It is decked out in beautifully crafted cakes, chocolates, jam and all kinds of other goodies! This is the view that greets you when you first step foot in the café:
…It’s like a little taste of heaven…
On our way back from the café we drove past a Circus, and there were a few Swiss police officers there keeping order. If there is one thing the Swiss are fabulous at, it is keeping order! Everything and everyone is always on time, if something is broken it is fixed immediately, you are always greeted whenever you walk in the door, regardless of age, and crime is almost non-existent. So I was not surprised to discover the Swiss police force’s police cars. A cute little smart car 😉
Tomorrow I will be traveling to Italy for the weekend, so stay tuned for an adventure blog from Como!
