We only had a short amount of time to try and explore as much of San Francisco as we could/wanted to. My travel partner was my mom and we were on a mission! Our first stop was Pier 39. The perfect tourist spot with all the shops and restaurants you could want!.. if that’s your kind of thing. And lucky for me, it is! We checked out the NFL shop and some other fun small shops and then we were HUNGRY.
We decided to eat at Bubba Gump… it was on the end of the Pier so we wanted to be able to look out over the ocean. Little did we know the America’s Cup was happening right outside the restaurant window! So as we enjoyed our lunch we also watched Team USA and the ORACLE racing past us. It was awesome to be able to watch the race…without even knowing it was going to be happening at all! And to get “first row” seats! We felt pretty spoiled.
After a full day exploring Fisherman’s Wharf and Pier 39 we headed to check out the Golden Gate Bridge a little more up close and personal! We stopped at Crissy Field where we were able to take pictures of the bridge and also were able to see Alcatraz Island. Overall we had a quick trip through San Francisco, but loved every minute of it! We saw most of the highlights of the city. I hope to go back someday to see the rest!
